Working on Primary Sharing Time.

Well, what does this whole program entail.

You have million of ideas from so many sisters in the gospel because they are so talented.

It all comes down to preparing and wondering if the children will feel all the excitement you have felt preparing the program.

This year our theme is "I Know the Scriptures Are Ture". So how do you teach this to the children.

Well, when you have 3 year olds to 7 year olds in one group and 8 year olds to 11 year olds in another group, you have choices. Either teach them all the same way or make it more fun and teach them for their age group.

So tomorrow we will teach the younger group all the exciting things in the scriptures. You know like with the large quad of scriptures and you can point out that you could listen to the scriptures from a CD. Next you could find the maps in the back of the quad. You could find the Articles of Faith behind Joseph Smith History. If you wanted to look up a word about Our Savior Jesus Christ, you can turn to the Topical Guide. You can read the scriptures from the picture form books.

Finally have them memorize a scripture along the way as they visit with different teachers who will share this information with them.

Now for the older children, we can look up scriptures and learn that they are part of a recipe to make cookies. This way they can take the recipe home and share it with their families for Family Home Evening.

So see we are the extended part of the Family. This way they can have fun ideas that they can also share with their friends at school.

2011 Dejunking

Dejunking is something that has been a challenge for me in the past.

This time around it is challenging but at the same time encouraging and the success is a wonderful feeling, of less and enjoyment of more space ;.)

I have learned that you need to bag it, remove it from the home and have someone else drop it off so you will not have the desire to look into the bag and take something out and bring it home again.

So this is what I have done, I have bagged the items have had my husband place the bags into the car and deliver them to the destination for others.

It has worked very well. I have also shared this challenge with a friend of mine that loves to organize, with a capital O. She says that it makes her fingers itch when she hears of others needing to get "Organized".

SO with her enthusiasm I'm going forward with a box a day and seeing lots of items gone ;.)

My goal is to be accomplished with this large task and working on crafts by June with space to spare.

Keep encouraging me on my goal.
